Free travel passes
Free travel passes are available to eligible passengers and can be used on Victoria's public transport network subject to terms and conditions. The majority of free travel passes are issued at the Metlink Central Pass Office.
Authorised free travel pass holders must carry their pass when travelling, or risk facing an infringement.
Children aged three years and under can travel for free without a free travel pass.

The following travel passes are available subject to eligibility:
- Access Travel Pass
- Companion Card (not issued by the Metlink Central Pass Office)
- Free Travel Vouchers (not issued by the Metlink Central Pass Office)
- Retired Employee Travel Pass
- Sunday Pass (not issued by the Metlink Central Pass Office)
- TPI War Veteran's Travel Pass
- Vision Impaired Travel Pass
- War Veteran's Travel Pass
The following travel passes are no longer available for issue but those that already carry them can continue to travel for free:
- Gold Elite Travel Pass
- ROA Gold Travel Pass
- Red Book Travel Pass
- Redeployee Travel Pass
- World War 1 Travel Pass
